Title deeds of a messuage called Y Ty Wen, a garden plot called Yr Ardd Newydd, lands between the properties of John ap Edward and David ap Ieuan and the river Llechog, and other parcels of land called Yr Erw Foliog Fechan, (boundaries given) and Y Dryll Ymhen Ucha'r Ddol Fawr, otherwise ‘R Ddol y Ro Fawr, 1633-1666. The deeds include a bond relating to a mortgage (missing) by Owen ap John ap Howell and Mathew Lewis of Corwen to John ap Edward ap David ap Ieuan of Clocaenog, Denbighshire, 1633; a release by John Mathew to the mortgagee, 1648, and successive assignments of the mortgage to Thomas ap Edward Lewis of Carrog, Merioneth, 1653, then to Griffith David John of Corwen and Ales his wife, 1653/4; a deed of sale by the latter to John Lloyd of Rhagad [decreed unlawful] 1663, and a subsequent reconveyance in response to a court order of the Chancery side of the Great Sessions of Merioneth, 1665/6; and the final deed of sale by John Mathew and the mortgagees to Eubule Thelwall of Nantclwyd, Denbighshire, 1665/6. The file also includes the writ for execution of the court order, 1665.
