A booklet, published in 1942 entitled "Between Two Wars: Coal" by James Griffiths detailing the issues faced by Britain's coal mining industry between the two world wars and the failures of owners and government to deal effectively with them.

The file contains letters and papers concerning the preparation and drafting of a pamphlet on the coal industry to be published by the Fabian Society, tentatively entitled 'Miners and the Board'.
