The photographs do not appear to relate to either letter's contents but are inserted here in relation to subject-matter.

Helen Dunmore was a poet, novelist, and short story and children's writer. Her best known works include the novels Zennor in Darkness (1994), A Spell of Winter (1996) and The Siege (2001). She won the inaugural Orange Prize for Fiction, the National Poetry Competition and (posthumously) the Costa Book Award (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helen_Dunmore)

Prizewinning poet and writer Leslie Norris was born in Merthyr Tydfil. He taught at academic institutions in Britain and the United States, including Brigham Young University.
