History

The chapel was built at the end of a track close to the summit of Hope Mountain overlooking the village of Caergwrle. The chapel is believed to have been used since 1837, and in the summer of 1987 celebrations to mark one hundred and fifty years were held. Services were held through the medium of Welsh only until the mid 1980s. Stained glass windows were added in 1981.
