A list, [September] 1795, by the artist John Malchair of Oxford, of drawings made by him on a tour of north Wales, 22 July-21 August 1785, written on returning to Oxford.
The drawings are described in chronological order, with some additional details and comments on the surroundings, people and weather. The itinerary includes Stinchcombe, Gloucestershire (f. 1), Dinas Mawddwy (f. 2 recto-verso), Barmouth (f. 3) and Harlech (f. 3 recto-verso), Merionethshire, and Beddgelert, Caernarvonshire (f. 3 verso). The original manuscript of 'Casgliad o Hen Faledi a Cherddi ... Beddgelert' which won the prize for Carneddog at the national eisteddfod held at Pwllheli, 1925. The collection consists of three hundred and four poems by various writers living in Wales, the United States of America, and Australia, most of whom were in some way or other connected with Beddgelert and neighbourhood. There is a list of the writers, who range in date from the eighteenth to the twentieth century.

A miscellany in the hand of David Evans, Llanrwst, under the title and sub-title of 'Blodau'r Awen neu Wyneb yr Awenydd. Blodau'r Gerddwriaeth' and 'Lloffion o waith amryw Awdwyr ... yn cynwys Man-gofion Barddonol ynghyd a chwedlau Barddonol a Mangofion hanesol ynghyd ac Englynion ...'. An illustrated manuscript journal, [1837x1838] (watermark 1836), by the artist George Nicholson of Liverpool, of a tour of Snowdonia on 5-18 August 1837, including nine pen and ink drawings by Nicholson, together with two watercolour paintings, apparently by his sister Isabella.
Nicholson and his two friends Edward [Priestley] and Mary Ann arrive at Bangor by ship [from Liverpool] on 5 August (f. 2). Their itinerary includes Caernarfon (f. 3), Beddgelert and Pont Aberglaslyn (f. 3 verso), Tanybwlch, Maentwrog (ff. 5-7 verso) and Ffestiniog (f. 6 recto-verso). They then return to Beddgelert for a week (ff. 8-17), before travelling via Capel Curig (ff. 17 verso-18) to Bangor (f. 18 verso) for the passage home (ff. 18 verso, 20). The group also climb Snowdon (ff. 9-10 verso). The pen and ink drawings comprise 'Llyn Colwyn' [i.e. Llyn Cwellyn?] (f. 3 verso), 'Pont Aberglasllyn [sic]' (f. 4), 'Tan-y-Bwlch Inn' [i.e. the Oakeley Arms] (f. 6), 'From the window of the Oakley [sic] Arms, Tan-y-Bwlch' (f. 7), 'Ciliart's [i.e. Gelert's] Tomb' (f. 12), 'Goat Inn' (f. 14), 'Plas Colwyn' (f. 16), and 'Trifain [i.e. Tryfan] – Foel Goch – Benglog' (f. 19). The watercolour paintings, both of which are labelled 'I. N. fecit', depict two dragonflies on heather (f. 8) and two butterflies on harebell (f. 13). Also included are copies of verses taken from visitors' books and albums during the journey (ff. 6, 7 recto-verso, 18).

An exercise book containing material [?collected by D. E. Jenkins for his book Bedd Gelert, its Facts, Fairies, and Folk-Lore (Portmadoc, 1899)], including extracts from the vestry book of the parish of Beddgelert [co. Caernarvon], 1804-1884, from [William] Williams: Observations on the Snowdon Mountains . . . (1802), and from [E. L. Barnwell:] 'Beudy Newydd, Nantmor [co. Caernarvon], Roman halting-place', Arch[aeologia] Camb[rensis], 1878; notes on an ancient Roman fort found near the pass of Aberglaslyn; a transcript of the words of the song 'Bugeiles y Wyddfa' [by John Jones ('Eos Bradwen')], with an English translation; and an English version, under the title 'The Shepherd of Cwm Dyli and his sweetheart', [of the Reverend Evan Evans ('Ieuan Glan Geirionydd')'s poem 'Rhiangerdd Bugail Cwmdyli']. Also included is an extract from, or a transcript of, a letter from the Reverend W. J. Dawson to James Bowden, London, [18]99 (informing recipient that D. E. Jenkins wished to approach him with regard to publishing his book on Beddgelert, a comment on the work).
