Gweithiau Tacitus,

Typescript translations (with some manuscript emendations) by David Owen, Brisbane from the works of Tacitus entitled 'P. Cornelius Tacitus, Hanesydd Rhufain. Rhannau o'i waith, sef Bywyd Agricola, yn cynnwys gyda gyrfa'r cadlywydd gweinyddfawr hwnnw, helynt cadlywyddion Rhufeinig ereill yn eu hymbrawf maith a Caradog, Derwyddon Mon, Buddug, ac ereill wroniaid bore Prydain; ynghyd a'i Germania, yn disgrifio agweddion arwynebol ei daear, a nodweddion arbenigol ei phobloedd; yn Gymraeg, gan David Owen, MA, gynt o Goleg Prifathrofaol Cymru; o Goleg y Frenhines, Rhydychen; ac o'r Deml Fewnol, Llundain'. The outer brown-paper cover is lettered 'Tacitus. Rhannau o'i Waith yn Gymraeg gan D. O. 1923'. Inset are two relevant letters in the hand of the translator written in 1923 from the School of Arts, Brisbane to J. H. Davies (also discussing the possibility of an appointment at Aberystwyth, the development of Queensland University, and the merits of Australian poetry, with emphasis on George Essex Evans).
