The series comprises papers relating to the period of Charles Gould's tenancy of the Langford Court estate. Although there is a theme to most files, whether it be papers relating to a particular subject, or papers from a particular time-span, most files also include papers that have nothing to do with that theme. This lack of care almost certainly related to the papers having no administrative value after 1802, when Sir Charles Morgan rid himself of the estate.
