This third group of correspondence, literary and personal papers of the poet Dannie Abse (b. 1923) was purchased from R. A. Gekoski, Pied Bull Yard, 15A Bloomsbury Square, London in February 1995 (B1995/7). The list follows the pattern used to describe the first and second groups of papers, prepared in 1990 and 1992. However, as this further group of papers includes an extensive collection of Dannie Abse's literary work, this section of the list has been compiled in more detail than in the previous two lists. References to other groups of the poet's manuscripts and papers held at the National Library are to be found in the introduction to the first schedule.
