A manuscript of Thomas Nicklas (Niccolas) 'of Conoway [sic] Cheife fortoun teller yet no Necromancer'. The title-page reads 'Dyma y Gwir Ly[f]r Tesni. A wnayth Saithwyr Doethion, yn wir yn ol y xii arwydd ar vii blaened'. The volume, which is in several hands, consists largely of astrological texts and the main titles and subjects include '... y llyfr hwn o natirieth yr arwyddion y genir mab a merch ynddynt ...', '... llyfr tynghedfen', '... chwech graedd yr haul', 'y deuddeg Arwudd mewn syweddyddiaeth [sic]', 'Dyddiau peryglus ... y flwynddyn [sic]', a diagram entitled 'Pethegros Chwil', 'y saith blaenedau', 'y pum tremiadau', 'y tri nodau', 'Torriadau mewn meddyginniaeth', 'Mae ymhob dyn naturiol saith blaened fawr ryfeddol yn cyd weithio ...', medical recipes, 'Y Rhinwedd sydd yn y Goldmair J gyhuddo lleider', 'Y Modd i adnabod yr hwn a gaffer yn wr neu yn wraig ...', a diagram entitled 'Olwyn Tesn' (p. 174) and an accompanying key entitled 'Datcaniad yr Olwyn', etc. On pp. 159-60 is 'Datcaniad or holl Eiria Saesneg sydd yn yr olwyn Tesnu' and a Latin address 'Ad Lectorem' by 'Griffithius Williams de Portadown, Hibernia 22 Non. Jan: 1728/9'. One of the texts is subscribed 'John Williams his Copi 1723-4'. The volume has been incorrectly bound: pp. 157-8 should follow p. 186.
