After the First World War the Wrexham Conservative Party became known as the Wrexham and East Denbighshire Unionist Association. After the formation of the National Government in the 1930s the party was called the Conservative and National Liberal Association. Until 1966 the parliamentary candidates were called the National Liberal and Conservative.
