Biographical history
This group contains election addresses, leaflets, circulars etc, 1905-2013, acquired by the Welsh Political Archive since its inception in 1983.
Archival history
Immediate source of acquisition or transfer
Most of the items were donated to the Archive either by the network of constituency contacts or by the Welsh headquarters of the political parties. Some, especially those in group BG, were donated by various other individuals.

The group consists of election addresses, leaflets, circulars and other miscellaneous items, 1905-2019, deriving from the Welsh constituencies and relating to parliamentary general elections, 1979-2019, parliamentary by-elections, 1966-2019, the elections to the European Parliament, 1979-2019, general elections to the National Assembly for Wales, 1999-2016, by-elections to the National Assembly for Wales, 2001-2018, and local (county and district) elections, 1952-2017. There are also files of election materials, 1905-1999, deriving from various localities and containing items from an array of different elections.
