Will (certified copy) of Judith Stubbs of Beckbury, co. Salop, widow. Testatrix devised as follows: "To William Baker of High Fields, parish of Audlen, co. Chester, and the Rev. Robert Binnell, Newport, co. Salop, clerk, the manor of Stapeley, co. Chester, and messuages and lands in the said manor (which descended to me as only sister and heiress of Dr. Jonathan Gouldsmith), on trust to sell the same, and after paying to my children, Judith, Catherine, Barbara, and Orlando, the sums due to them from the estate of my husband, Walter Stubbs of Beckbury, gent., deceased, to distribute the surplus proceeds between my children, Mary, wife of John Dutton, gent., Judith, John, Walter, Henry, Jonathan, Catherine, Barbara, and Orlando in equal shares. My said sons, Walter and Jonathan, to be executors." Witnesses: Tho. Plimley, jun.; Sarah Adams; John Arden.
