Miscellaneous papers kept by John Ceiriog Hughes comprising draft poetry, adjudications, correspondence, notes, and accounts; lawsuit papers, including a draft summons to Isaac Clarke, printer and publisher, of Ruthin, 1862, concerning inter alia the copyright of Oriau'r Bore; proof sheets of John Ceiriog Hughes's application and testimonials for an appointment as commercial traveller, 1871, and of the prospectus of the Mynyddog Memorial appeal, 1877; and a small poster advertising meetings of 'Cymdeithas Lenyddol Gymreig Manceinion', 1858, including lectures by John Hughes (Ceiriog) and William Williams (Creuddynfab).

Mae'r casgliad yn cynnwys papurau sy'n adlewyrchu gwahanol weithgareddau'r Academi yn ogystal â gweithgaredd aelodau o staff cyflogedig a swyddogion gwirfoddol y gymdeithas. Mae'n adlewyrchu y trefniant cwbl wirfoddol oedd yn bodoli rhwng 1960 a 1977, cyfraniad staff cyflogedig yn y cyfnod ers derbyn nawdd Cyngor Celfyddydau Cymru ym 1977, a'r ychwanegu a fu at weithgaredd y gymdeithas wrth greu Adran Saesneg ym 1968. Nid yw'r papurau hyn wedi eu catalogio eto. = The collection consists of papers which reflect the various activities of the Academi as well as the activities of paid officials and voluntary members. They reflect the voluntary arrangement that existed between 1959 and 1977, the expansion of activities which followed the formation of the English Language Section in 1968 and the contribution made by paid staff in the period after the award of a Welsh Arts Council Grant in 1977. The papers of the Welsh Language Section reflect the whole activities of the Academi up to the formation of the English Language Section. From then on, the papers are split into those of the Central Administration, the Welsh Language Section and the English Language Section. The collection includes general correspondence, administrative papers such as committee minutes, membership details and material relating to various publications, events and activities. Thirteen large boxes of records were received July 2013 and a further 2 large boxes in October 2013. These groups remains uncatalogued.

Ceir cyfeiriadau yn yr anerchiad at gymdeithasau llenyddol, diwylliannol ac athronyddol Cymreig, llyfrgelloedd ac ystafelloedd darllen, ac unigolion nodedig. Mae rhan o'r traethawd wedi'i theipio ar ddalenau o lyfr cyfrifon. = The paper contains references to Welsh literary, cultural and philosophical societies, libraries and reading rooms, and to individuals of note. Part of the essay has been typed on leaves from a printed ledger.

A composite volume, lettered 'Eben Fardd's MS', comprising day and 'memoranda' books of Ebenezer Thomas ('Eben Fardd'). Among the material recorded by the writer are extracts relating to Tractarianism; diary entries, 1837-9, 1849; shop, school, bookbinding and other accounts, 1839-40; mensuration problems and tables, etc., c. 1834; 'Memorandum of Literary adventures and Transactions ... 1848-55, being largely a list of adjudications at eisteddfodau and literary meetings, and 'adjudicatory transactions conducted on the New Plan', 1855-6, and 'Requisitions & invitations declined', 1855-7; Llanarmon School, Clynnog School, and sundry accounts, 1827; etc.
