History

WALMATO (Welsh Association of Lecturers in Mathematics in the Area Training Organisation) was established in Aberystwyth on 10 March 1964 as a mutual-support group to share ideas in maths education. The annual conference was held at Gregynog Hall except for one occasion. Its aim was to study the content and teaching of Mathematics in particular in the primary and secondary education sectors. The members at the 2014 conference decided that it would be the last conference.
