File contains letters, documents produced by Cardiff County Council, press releases, briefing notes and newspaper articles relating to the campaign to locate the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff. The Welsh Office began to look at a range of possible sites across Wales after the Secretary of State for Wales and Cardiff County Council were unable to agree on the use of Cardiff City Hall for the Assembly.
