The Diocesan Conference, established under Chapter IV of The Constitution of the Church in Wales,is made up of ex-officio, co-opted, nominated and elected members, with a number of powers and duties including:
Managing funds entrusted to it by the Representative Body of the Church in Wales;
Conforming to and carrying out any order or direction of the Governing Body of the Church in Wales;
Appointing a Standing Committee, Financial Board, Patronage Board, Bishop's Electoral College, and other bodies;
The control, alteration, repeal or supercedence of any regulation made by a Ruridecanal Conference, Vestry Meeting or Parochial Church Council;
The election of clerical and lay members to the Representative and Governing Bodies of the Church in Wales
