Biographical history

The Court's Committee on Art was established in 1924 by the University Court to consider and report on the provision of teaching of Art in the University. Following the recommendation of the Academic Board, the Court at its meeting on 15-16 December 1932 established the Art Committee to promote the study and practice of Art in Wales. This committee seems to have replaced the Court's Committee on Art. There is no evidence to suggest that the Art Committee met after 1948.
