Biographical history

The University Court set up a number of ad hoc committees to consider problems specific to the University or to education in general, including primary and secondary education, and in some instances to propose a course of action or to advise the Court or to formulate a response on its behalf. Other ad hoc committees were established to consider Government reports on education and more particularly on the position of the Welsh language in education in Wales.
