Lease and release, being a transfer of mortgage (£140 and interest (D 3/12-13) and subsequent further charges) by (1) Elizabeth Partington of Deptford, co. Kent, widow, and James Willis of New Inn, Westminster, attorney (executor of the will of Henry Partington, esq., who was the executor of the will of Anne Carn of Newcastle, co. Glam., widow, dec., and also administrator with the will annexed of the said Anne Carn), and Mary Cray of Arundell Street, p. St Clements Danes, co. Mddx, widow (only daughter and sole heir of the said Henry Partington), to (3) Miles Lewelin of Kellirhaidd, p. Llantrisant, gent., of a m. and lands (42a.) called Biestood, lying at Biestood and Hirwain, p. Coety, co. Glam., and further charge (£500 in all), with a covenant by (2) Henry Treharn of p. Coety, co. Glam., gent., and Martha his wife (which Martha is the daughter and devisee of the m's and lands hereafter mentioned, from Elisha Thomas of Coety, dec.), to levy a fine of the same property and a m. where Edward William lately dwelt, with its lands, viz., a parcel called Dwy Erw'r Lloyn Cwm (2a.), parcels called Kaie'r Wallas (5a.) adjoining the highway from Biestood to Kevanhirgoed on the east, two parcels called Kae'r Grose (4a.), and a parcel of land called Tire Newydd (3a.) having the said highway on the north and west (surrounding fields named). The other party is (4) Morgan Williams of the Park, p. Llanilltern, gent. Consideration: £373-8-0 paid by 3 to Elizabeth Partington, James Willis and 2, and £126-12-0 paid by 3 to 2. Note: the lease is enclosed in the release, attached by a parchment thong.
