Biographical history
Important purchases in Henllan parish include the two moieties of Tyddyn Glan y Ffynnon and Gwaun Dwysog, bought by John Griffith (2) between 1748 and 1756. Other, later purchases in Henllan were made by John Wynne Griffith in 1794, 1808 and 1815, and by his son, George, in 1856 and 1864.
