A disbursements and wages account book of the brig 'Jane' (Richard Lewis, master) at Milford, Newport, Bristol, Chepstow, Cork, Swansea, Waterford, Dublin, Scilly, Liverpool, Chester, London, Rotterdam, Dordt, Cardiff, Newcastle, Plymouth, Charente, Shields, Portsmouth, Llanelly, Poole, North Yarmouth, Ramsgate, and Rochelle, 1816-1824. Also included in the volume are copies of letters from Thomas Lewis, Walton East, co. Pembroke, 1837-1842 and undated, to his brother Richard Lewis (personal, news of the family and of neighbours, the writer's accounts with the recipient), to Messrs. Burton & Bentley, ship agents, Love Lane, London (the receipt of bank bills), and to his future wife (their proposed marriage); a copy of a letter from Richd. Evans, Walton East, to [ ], 1837 (a loan for the bearer Stepen [sic] Edwards of Blaenwern); statements of the funeral expenses of Betsy Lewis, 1841-1842; threshing and winnowing accounts, 1839-1840; a promissory note for £100 from William Thomas, innkeeper, and George Beddoe, gent., both of the town and county of Haverfordwes[t], to Thomas Lewis of Walton, parish of Walton East, 1837; etc.
