History

Bu'r bardd David Thomas, 'Dewi Glanrhondda'(1861-1933), o Dreorci, Morgannwg, yn gweithio injan weindio ym Mhwll Glo y Parc, Cwm-parc, am dros hanner canrif. Er gwaethaf diffyg addysg ffurfiol yr oedd ganddo ddiddordeb mewn diwylliant Cymraeg a chrefydd, a bu'n llwyddiannus mewn sawl eisteddfod. Yr oedd hefyd yn ddiacon yng Nghapel Noddfa = The poet David Thomas, 'Dewi Glanrhondda', (1861-1933), from Treorci, Glamorgan, was a winding-engineman at Park Colliery, Cwm-parc for over half a century. Despite a lack of formal education he was interested in Welsh culture and religion, and had several eisteddfod successes. He was also a deacon at Noddfa chapel.
