Items found loose inside this volume include a three page typescript text, dated December 1973, in which David Jones explains the background to the 'Book of Balaam's Ass' (2 copies); a French translation of 'The Narrows' (photostat copy of typescript, 6pp); an English translation in David Jones's hand of the fragment from the 'Annals' of Ennius partially quoted in altered form on p 89 of The Sleeping Lord; typescript lists of corrigenda; and two pages of typescript relating to the editing of The Roman Quarry and other sequences (London, 1981) by René Hague and Harman Grisewood (22 pages).
