Brecon Jazz is an annual festival which plays host to a wealth of internationally-acclaimed jazz musicians each August. The first festival was organised in 1984 by Jed Williams, owner of The Four Bars Inn, a jazz club and public house in Cardiff now known as Dempseys.

Note

Established in 1974 in the Grade II*-listed Brecknock Shire Hall and Assize Court buildings, Brecknock Museum and Art Gallery houses exhibitions focusing on local prehistory and later history, natural history and art.
