Some sixty letters, [c. 1960]-1971, from Nansi Richards (Telynores Maldwyn, 1888-1979) relating mainly to the triple harp and personal matters, mostly addressed to the writer and broadcaster Joan Rimmer but including seven letters, [c. 1960]-1967, to BBC producer Madeau Stewart and three letters, 1963-1967, to the harpist Mary Rowland.

A transcript and an English translation of records of two Welsh churches in New York, namely Bethel Church (Congregational), Steuben, 1839, and Capel Cerrig (CM), Remsen, 1830, together with a brief history of French Road Church (CM), Remsen, compiled by members of the Remsen-Steuben Historical Society.

An English translation of a letter by 'Candidus' (the Reverend Thomas Walters, Kilvey, Swansea) on the abuse of Church patronage by the bishop of Llandaf, published in Y Cymro, 27 September 1854, and a copy of a statement from the Bishop's Court, December 1854, replying to the accusations.(Found loose inside NLW MS 22707iiA.

Correspondence relating to, and claims for, rewards offered for information leading to the conviction of Rebecca rioters (see David Williams, The Rebecca Riots (Cardiff, 1955), pp. 285-6). The majority of the letters are from George Rice Trevor, 4th baron Dynevor, to William Chambers, jnr, Llanelli. For other letters from Trevor to Chambers relating to the riots, see Transactions of the Carmarthenshire Antiquarian Society and Field Club, 23 (1932), 60-77. Also included are copies of the calendar of prisoners to be tried at the Carmarthenshire Spring Assizes, 1844, and of proclamations relating to the riots.

Correspondence and papers, 1964-1993, accumulated by J. E. Caerwyn Williams, mainly as editor of Y Traethodydd and Ysgrifau Beirniadol. Correspondents include John Gwilym Jones (2) 1976-1978, Saunders Lewis (7) 1967-1979, Thomas Parry (3) 1976-1978, and Kate Roberts (15) 1964-1978. Also included are manuscript and typescript drafts of contributions published in Y Traethodydd, including a short story, Pryder Morwyn, by Kate Roberts (ff. 47-54).

Speculum Juratoris (ff. 1-129), a theological treatise in six parts on swearing, by Thomas de Wygenhale, canon of the Praemonstratensian abbey of West Dereham and vicar of Holy Trinity, Cambridge, fl. 1384-1406. The first quire is wanting. The treatise is also known from BL Harleian MS 148. On ff. 129-130v is a treatise on blasphemy, also attributed to Thomas de Wygenhale, which does not occur in the Harleian MS. All copied by one hand.

A manuscript containing prose texts and strict metre poetry in Welsh in the hand of Robert Richard, an otherwise unknown scribe, c. 1760 (see notes on ff. 1, 29v), with a few later additions. Place-names mentioned in accounts added on ff. 47v and 68v suggest the volume to have been in the Betws Abergele area, co. Denbigh, in the late 18th century. The prose includes 'Erra Pater' (ff. 1-10v) and other prognosticatory texts (ff. 10v-13); astronomical memoranda (ff. 13-15v, 43r-v); 'Histori y Saith Wyr Doethion o Rufain' (ff. 17-29v); 'Athrawieth Historaeawl ...' (ff. 29v-41v); 'Histori y Saith Gyscadur' (ff. 42-3); 'Llyma fal i mae un yn tebygu ei ardeml ... sef ei deml gorphorol' (ff. 44v-6v); and 'Histori o hanes Adda ag Efa' (ff. 46v-7). The poetry comprises englynion including an englyn 'a ganwyd am gladdedigaeth Bytheiad Llewelyn ap Ierwerth Drwyn-dwn ...' (f. 18v); 'Erfynniad Taliessin' (f. 44); and cywyddau by Syr Dafydd Owain, Gwilym ap Siôn ap Dafydd, Huw Morys, Ieuan Brydydd Hir, John Prichard, Maredudd ap Rhys, Siôn Dafydd Lâs, Siôn Phylip, Wiliam Llyn and Wiliam Phylip (ff. 48-68).

Fifteen letters, 1943-1969, from D. J. Williams (1885-1970), Fishguard, to D. Oswald Davies, a native of Rhydcymerau, co. Carmarthen, mainly relating to their mutual interest in the history of the Rhydcymerau area. For corresponding letters from D. O. Davies see the papers of D. J. Williams in NLW.

Diary, October 1894 - January 1901, of Sir Henry Jones (1852-1922), following his appointment to the Chair of Philosophy at the University of Glasgow, referring mainly to his research and teaching and to family matters.

Thirty-five letters from Dafydd Ladd (c. 1950- ), who was connected with a series of bombings in England and Wales during the early 1980s and imprisoned in 1983 on charges of possessing explosives. The letters, written from Cardiff, Long Lartin, Featherstone and Leyhill prisons, 1983-1988, to Ioan M. Richard, a 'Welsh republican', relate mainly to Welsh Nationalism, the political situation and personal matters.

Papers of, or relating to, John Owen (1873-1914), Forest Mill, Brechfa, co. Carmarthen, composer, including notes, 1898-1905, by John Owen concerning his musical activities at local 'eisteddfodau' and chapels and autograph and printed copies of his compositions (ff. 1-20); memorial verses to him, entered for competition at 'Eisteddfod Ffynnon Y Byrgwm', Brechfa, 1915 (ff. 24-39); and transcripts of miscellaneous items relating to Brechfa.

A bound volume containing copies of The Curate (London, 1766) and The Powers of the Pen (London, 1766) by Evan Lloyd, annotated with numerous sarcastic comments by William Price. Rhiwlas, Merioneth, who brought an action for libel against the poet. On f. i is a copy of the inscription on the author's grave in Llanycil churchyard.

Thirteen letters in Welsh, c. 1861-1871, from Rees Williams, Sandy Creek, and his brother Thomas Williams, Carisbrook, both in Victoria, Australia, addressed to their cousin Rees Lewis (Ap Tudful, 1804-1886), Merthyr Tudful, printer, publisher and bookseller, together with two letters, 1863, one from Rees Williams to his father Daniel Williams, St Clears, carpenter, the other from John Thomas, St Clears, to Rees Lewis. The letters principally relate to sums of money owed to Rees and Thomas Williams but also include requests to Rees Lewis to send out Welsh hymn-books to Australia. Also included are a letter, 1857, from the Reverend David Charles Davies to ?Rees Lewis and two letters, 1863-1869, from Welsh emigrants in Pennsylvania.

Eleven letters, 1829-1834, from William Cobbett (1763-1835), journalist and politician, to William Williams (1788-1865), at the time a merchant of Watling Street, London, but later MP for Coventry and then for Lambeth, mainly concerning political matters.
