A copy of Lett's Office Diary and Almanac for 1879, with copious manuscript entries [by Lady Marianna Augusta Hamilton, widow of Sir James- John Hamilton, 2nd bart., of Woodbrook, co. Tyrone, and Plas Llanstephan, co. Carmarthen, ob. 1876]. From 1 January to 20 May, and from 18 to 31 December, Lady Hamilton was in residence in her London home, the remainder of the year being spent at Llanstephan. The entries relating to the period of residence at Llanstephan contain several references to the [National] schools there and at Llanybree.

T. J. & J. Smith's Small Scribbling Diary ... 1887, with brief entries, probably in the hand of Frederick George Wynn (1853-94), Glynllifon, Llandwrog, co. Caernarfon, mainly recording visits to and excursions with friends and relations. The volume includes records of rainfall at Fort Belan, Llanwnda, co. Caernarfon, 1882-7, and rainfall and weather conditions at Glynllifon, 1887 (ff. 63-5). Six contemporary family photographs found inside the diary are now contained in a pocket inside the back cover.

A diary, 1801-1802, containing an account of sermons heard by Robert Saunderson of Chester (later printer of Bala), at Boughton, Queen Street Chapel, and Handbridge, Chester, on Sundays, 4 January 1801-7 February 1802. Numerous references are made to the Sunday schools at Boughton, the Rossett, Dunham and Ince, and to the preaching of the Rev. Thomas Charles of Bala.
