Liberal MP, Caernarfonshire South, 1885-1906. Vice-Chairman, Welsh Liberal Federation. Bangor / Cardiff. Arrangements to meet a journalist from Y Genedl to discuss a matter relating to school funding [A/3004]. The writer also arranges to meet EMH to discuss the [First World] War [A/3005-6], and comments on an article he has written for Y Goleuad, expressing his desire for peace (included is a cutting from the paper). He remarks at the current financial position of the country, which is overshadowed by the war, and anxiously awaits the budget speech [A/3011].
