History

The Rhys Davies Trust is a registered charity founded in 1991 and named after the writer Rhys Davies (1901-1978). Its objectives are to promote the writer’s work and foster Welsh writing in English, especially in the valleys of south Wales and in the genres in which Rhys Davies wrote. The Trust administers the annual Rhys Davies Short Story Competition (established 1991), a national writing competition open to writers born or living in Wales.
