Rentals of the Badminton estate in Wales, or at least in two of the three Welsh cos where the estate was located. Some rentals which relate to the Badminton estate in both England and Wales were returned by NLW to the Badminton estate office in 1988. Brec., 1753-4, Cardiff, 1754, and allowances for the 11 days 'lost' when the Gregorian calendar was adopted in place of the Julian calendar, 1753-4. Three of these rentals (BMA1/1-2, 5) were exhibited in the Courts of Exchequer and Chancery in 1727 and 1731 respectively in a dispute between Henry, duke of Beaufort, infant, complainant, and John Scott and William Dunwoodie, gent's, defendants, and between Henry, duke of Beaufort, complainant, and Mathew Powell, esq., defendant.
