Over four thousand files of constituency correspondence, 1979-1985, from individual correspondents or organizations; and subject files relating to the House of Commons 1979-1985, housing, 1980-1985; transport (including the Central Wales Line), 1982-1984; Squatters, 1983; Rate Support Grant, 1983-1984; Warnock Report on education, 1985; and miscellaneous correspondence and papers, 1980-1985.

The collection comprises mainly leaflets, correspondence and papers, 1924-1966, relating to Labour politics in the Brecon and Radnor constituency. There are also papers concerning the Labour Party in Wales, 1928-1952; the Parliament for Wales campaign, 1950-1956; Tudor Watkins's visits to Russia in 1961 and to Patagonia in 1965; papers concerning Tudor Watkins's elevation to the House of Lords in 1972; and material deriving from the Brecon and Radnor by-election in 1939.
