A memorandum book of Robert Griffith, vicar of Darowen and justice of the peace for Montgomeryshire, containing copies and/or drafts of complaints, examinations, warrants, recognizances, parochial settlements, etc., 1776-85 and undated, together with observations by the scribe and copious relevant extracts from law books. There are also copies of two letters, the one to Wm Turton, Knolton Hall, near Overton Maddock, Flintshire, 1783 (a settlement), and the other from William Davies, Keeper of the Gaol at Montgomery, 1783 (a request for a county allowance for a prisoner).
