Photograph of Griffith Evans at Niagara Falls taken in 1869 while he was serving in Canada with the Royal Artillery. A note written on the back, presumably by Griffiths reads "While looking at the water coming in great waves [unclear] to the fall of Niagra in 1869. I thought it was an allegory of events in time. Tad. To Erie 1 January 1913"
