Title deeds for lands in Carmarthenshire, 1619-1721, some of which, at least, belong to the Pen-boyr estate, .in which Thomas Pryse’s wife, Mary, had a life interest as the widow of Thomas Davids, her first husband. The first is a grant in fee farm by Sir Henry Hobarte, Chancellor, and other officials of Charles Prince of Wales, to Symon Batten of Masegledoggy (sic) in Cardiganshire, of Lloyne y Court, part of the grange of Llan-y-crwys formerly belonging to the dissolved monastery of Talley, and a watermill in the commote of Caio, 1619; and an assignment of a mortgage of the same, to Thomas Johnes of Llanbadarn Fawr, Cardiganshire, 1624. The other deeds concern Fynnon Wen, Dole-y-Pont, Place-yr-Havod Vach, Place Pant Glase, Tythyn y Bwlch, Abertrawstre, Place Pen y Cawsey, Place y Velyn and Place Vagwr Goch in Llanglydwen, comprised in a deed of sale from Edward Stedman of Trefor, Montgomeryshire, to Thomas Davids of Pen-boyr, 1699, the pre-nuptial settlement of Thomas Davids and Mary, daughter of David Lewis, 1706, and a trust deed, 1721, giving Mary Pryse a life interest and after her death to Thomas David's niece, Mary Howell, reciting a mortgage in 1699 to Thomas Reynolds of Llanfyrnach. The file also contains the probate of the will and inventory of Thomas Davids, 1710.
