Mae'n debyg i'r copi o hanes eglwys Cana ddod i law Abednego Jenkin tra'n weinidog ar yr eglwys rhwng 1859 a thua 1870. Ar ôl ei farw trosglwyddwyd rhai o'i bapurau i David Jenkin, ei hanner brawd a thad y rhoddwr. Daeth y papurau i law y rhoddwr tua 1953.
