Graddiodd y bardd a'r nofelydd William Leslie Richards (1916-1989)o Gapel Isaac ger Llandeilo, yng Ngholeg Prifysgol Cymru, Aberystwyth. Bu'n athro ysgol i gychwyn cyn dod yn Ddirprwy Brifathro Ysgol Gyfun Llandeilo o 1975 hyd 1981. Yr oedd yn awdur sawl nofel, yn eu plith Yr Etifeddion, 1956. Ynghyd â D. H. Culpitt cyhoeddodd gyfrol ar D. J. Williams, Y Cawr o Rydcymerau yn 1970.
