Biographical history

The Llanforda estate was purchased by Sir William Williams from Edward Lloyd in 1675/6, thus adding to the properties in Oswestry which he had already acquired with the Glascoed estate upon his marriage. This group also incorporates properties in Baschurch and Stanwardine, and the Llwyn-y-maen estate.
