History

The National Union of General and Municipal Workers was formed by the amalgamation of the National Amalgamated Union of Labour, the National Union of General Workers and the Municipal Employees' Association in 1924. It was organised into districts, of which one covered South Wales. It became part of the General, Municipal, Boilermakers and Allied Trades Union in 1982.
