The National Jazz Archive, founded in 1987 by trumpeter Digby Fairweather, holds and maintains a select collection of written, printed and visual material relating to jazz, blues and similar music from the 1920s to the present day. The Archive is a registered charity, run by a Board of Trustees, and is based in Loughton, Essex.
