Fragile. The paper roll was repaired in 1829, and mounted on linen. The right-hand side of the roll has been lost for the first four surviving generations, with only the arms surviving for the first generation. Flakes of paper are lifting off the linen in places, and in other places these flakes of paper have been lost.

Armorial pedigree roll of the Morgan family of Crindai, showing the descent of William Morgan of Crindai (b. c.1617, fl. 1663) from the generation of Miles fitz Walter (c.1097-1143), earl of Hereford. The roll appears to be contemporanous with the Morgan pedigree rolls of 1633 (P 1/6-7).

Note
The head of the roll is inscribed 'Morgan of Llanternum. Belonged to C. Morgan Esquire of Tredegar, 28th May 1779. Repaire 6th Jan'y 1829 by Georgiana Rodney, Anna Lascelles, Octavius Morgan.' The back of the roll is endorsed 'Pedigree of Morgan of Crindau, a younger branch of Llantarnam.'
