The volume bears several names, among them being 'Mr. Lloyd at Vron near Bala'; according to a note in pencil by J. H. Davies on the fly-leaf it 'apparently belonged' to Evan Lloyd, A.M. (1734-76), son of John Lloyd of Vron Dderw, near Bala, and vicar of Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd.
