Darren Millar is leader of the Welsh Conservative Group in the Welsh Parliament (Senedd Cymru) and the Member of the Senedd for Clwyd West since 2007. Before being elected to the Senedd he was a member of both Towyn and Kinmel Bay Town Council and Conwy County Borogh Council and worked as a manager for an international charity supporting persecuted Christians around the world. He has also been an accountant working in the construction, care home and telecommunications industries.

He was brought up in Towyn,

During his time in the Senedd he served as Chief Whip, Shadow Minister for the Constitution and North Wales, Health, Education, Local Government and International Affairs. In addition to these he also served as the Chair of the Senedd’s influential Public Accounts Committee. He is a committed Christian, avid reader and amateur astronomer.
