Two volumes which contain two groups of scrapbooks, eighteen in all, containing materials relating principally to Montgomeryshire and Merionethshire, compiled by George Eyre Evans in 1910 in his capacity of Assistant Inspector to the Royal Commission on Ancient Monuments in Wales and Monmouthshire.
They consist of notes in the autograph of George Eyre Evans, including extracts from the parish registers of Llanidloes, 1616-1747, Llanerfyl, 1670-1783, and Cemmaes, 1733-1812, and a transcript of a part of a journal of a visit by the Reverend Thomas Price, vicar of Merthyr Tydfil, to Dolcoed Wells, Llanwrtyd, 1762; autograph letters to George Eyre Evans from Henry Bonsal, Llanbadarn Fawr, Cardiganshire, J. Gwenogvryn Evans, Llanbedrog, S. A. Evans, Llanbadarn Fawr, H. E. Forrest, Shrewsbury, C. P. Gasquoine, Caxton Press, Oswestry, F. W. Gibbins, Pendine, J. D. James, Llanerfyl Rectory, D. E.
