Marriage settlement of David Hopkins of Cadoxton by Neath, gentleman, with Elizabeth Manxell, daughter of Philip Manxell of Landewy, gentleman, whereby a yearly sum of £13 6s. 8d. from lands and tenements is conveyed to Philip Manxell aforesaid, Philip Manxell the younger, Edw. Manxell, John Alanxell, John Cradocke, Christopher Turbervyle, WilliamHopkins, WilliamGryffythe, and David ap Hopkyn ap David, to the use of the marrige parties and their issue, with further conditions respecting the said David's lands in the lordship of Gower, and parcel of the demesnes of the late Monastery of Neath held by lease from Sir Richard Cromewell, kt; the said Philip paying £80 into the trust sum, etc. Signed.
