The Lodge was established in 1869 and was registered at The Old Schoolroom, Ponterwyd. It was never one of the strongest of lodges within the Gwalia District whilst its membership stood at 99 in 1918, 54 in 1930 and only 17 in 1958, the year before it was amalgamated with the Druid Lodge, Aberystwyth.
