Administrative history
The lodge was established in 1864. In 1919 the state insurance side of the lodge was ordered by the Manchester Unity Friendly Society to be transferred to the St Davids Lodge because it had a membership of less than 50 persons insured with the State. The independent side of the lodge continued in existence despite an extremely low number of members, (only 22 in 1930 and 19 in 1958), until it was amalgamated with the Rheidol Lodge in 1968. It was registered at the Frongoch Mine Office, Pontrhydygroes, Cardiganshire. Meetings were later held at Frongoch House, Devil's Bridge, and at Trisant school, Devil's Bridge.
