Davies containing a chronological list of printed books in Welsh and of Welsh interest, 1599-1886 and undated, being the first lot purchased by him from William John Roberts ('Gwilym Cowlyd') 'a day or two' before the latter's sale [in April 1897]. At the end of the volume, partly in the hand of J. H. Davies, are particulars of gaps in files of newspapers, periodicals, etc. (Y Goleuad, Trysorfa y Plant, Welsh Gazette, and Welsh Piety) in the Cwrtmawr library.
