W.J. Roberts of Llandudno, Liberal Party agent for the Conwy constituency was responsible for arranging the Liberal Party Annual Assembly in Llandudno in 1955. E. Clement Davies (1884-1962), Liberal MP for Montgomeryshire, was then leader of the party.
