The file comprises letters written by Rhodri Morgan from the USA to his family in Swansea between September and December 1961 while he was studying at Harvard University, including a letter describing his arrival in New York by liner and moving to his university accommodation as well as letters from a visit to New Orleans. It also contains detailed notes by Prys Morgan on the background to Rhodri Morgan studying in the USA and on the stories, people and in-jokes in the letters.
