Scope and content
A volume of legal precedents and notes roughly written apparently by Ellis Lloyd. His name, together with that of Owen Ellis, occurs on the cover. On the fly leaf the name of Owen Ellis is written above a Latin verse which begins: 'Ex Owen Ellis dono me possidet Ellis / Lloid: qui me inscripsit (qui priusalbus eram)...'. According to a note which is repeated at the end of the volume Ellis Lloyd was admitted to Lincolns Inn, 9 May 1604.
