Glam., iron master. Lease for 63 years of veins, mines of iron stone and iron ore in, upon or under the capital demesne lands called Aberpergwm and the m's and lands called Blaennant yr Ewig, Tyrywern, Blaenpergwm Issa, Tyle pergwm, penrhyn Nantiar, pantyfynnon, court, clynymewyn, Llaine, pantygwartheg, Tyr bach, penmarle (?), Maesllinck, Aberclwys and Llwynyrhebog, all in p. Cadoxton near Neath, with all such part of the farm and lands called Maesgwyn in the said p. and all the other land and premises of the said James Gough Aubrey and Eleanor his wife in the said p. except that lying between the turnpike road from Neath to Pontneathvaughan and the river Neath, and except the three fields called cae Noyadd, Morva glaes, and Morvadu lying above the said turnpike road, and except the land extending 200 yards in every direction around Aberpergwm House, with liberty to raise as much stone coal as they required for the sole purpose of calcining the said iron ore and the stone and clay required for the works with a covenant to demise up to four a. of a field called Cae court or Cae Harry adjoining the Neath canal if required for erecting wharves, warehouses, etc., with further covenants.
